Fanfiction, Chapter 2. And some randomness.

Okay, Angus, told you I would update! Hi Caron :D .....
I have a small...uh, situation... I can't seem to get a damn TITLE for this fanfiction! So you, my fellow readers, please, DO SOMETHING DANGIT. D:
Also, I seem to have taken a liking to this emoticon, Onion! He's such a cute character! -squeal- AH GAWD NO I REFUSE TO BE A FANGIRL. xD Yes, so, here's chapter two of my currently nameless Ness Lucas fanfiction.

Enjoy~

Miss Peach was sitting at her desk in room 108, marking the projects from her Home Economy class. There we numerous pieces of home-made clothing on the table, ranging from tunics to parkas to exotic masterpieces.

The clock struck 3:14.

'The boys should be here soon,'she thought to herself.

And just as she wrote an A- on a sticky note for a green and brown-belted tunic, she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in," said Peach in a housewife-y sort of way.(A/N: Just like how a wife would greet her kids when they knock on the door after school..Oops, off-topic.)

The door suddenly burst open, and the Mushroom Princess headdesked.

'Not again,' she thought, muttering to herself. 'Mr. Game and Watch is going to be pissed off when he sees the damage to the door, not to mention the HUGE dent in the wall from this morning.'

"What are you talking to yourself about, Miss Peach?" inquired the black-haired PSI boy. "It's not really something to worry about, you know. I'm sure Mr. Watch would be able to repair the wall and maybe the door if he--" he continued babbling on as Lucas started talking.

"M...Miss Peach?", he asked in a muted voice. "I-I'm here for my detention. It's j-just th-that I'm a bit sh-shy sometimes, it's ha-hard for me to speak when I'm embarrassed. "

Peach smiled. It wasn't unusual for Lucas to feel shy or anti-social most of the time. Considering that his father went mad after his mother and his brother died, she wouldn't put it past him to kill himself.

"It's okay, Lucas. I forgive you for not talking much," she spoke in a soft and gentle voice. "I just wanted you to come here for detention so that I could tell you this."

Inquired Lucas, "Wh-what is it?"

He was nervous, and nothing could stop himself from shaking all over his body, even if she was smiling kindly at him. Lucas glanced over at Ness. For some odd reason, the mere image of the red-capped boy was enough to keep him in Miss Peach's classroom, instead of bolting right out of the door.

"I have empathy for you, Lucas,"replied Peach. "It's okay to be scared or shy sometimes. But, it's also okay to speak up when you need to! Do you understand?"
She gazed down gently at the blond PSI wielder.

"It's okay...", she repeated. "It's okay."

"Thank you so m-much, Miss Peach.", answered Lucas. And for the first time since before his family split up, he smiled.

"You can go now, Lucas. I just wanted to speak with you."

"Oh, it's okay, Miss Peach. I'll stay behind with Ness, if you don't mind," Lucas replied, "I wouldn't want him to stay all alone in this room."

Peach was astounded by his thoughtfulness.
"You're welcome to stay, Lucas. How thoughtful of you to stay with Ness. If he was alone, he'd get a much...worse punishment."

With that, Princess Peach joking glared at Ness, then smiled.

******
Ness walked through his door, pushing it open.
"Mom?"

There was no answer.

'If Mom's not home, then that must mean...D-Dad's home?!', Ness feared his dad was home. If he was lucky, he could get to his room in time and lock the door, before--
